1. Joined Rotary as Charter member of R/C Pune Kothrud in 1989. President 1990-91.
2. Before that Rotaract Member for 6 years from 1072 to 1978 . District Rotaract Representative (Governor of Rotaract) in 1973-74 & Now the District Governor of Rotary 2010-11.
3. So he is the first Rotaract Governor to become Rotary District Governor
4. Elected unanimously as DG with all nomination committee votes to one candidate which itself is a record.
5. Senior Rotarian from our district, known for his in-depth knowledge about Rotary, Excellent speaker, a good organizer & a leader with proven abilities of team leadership skills.
6. Known in the social spheres for his profound experience in the field of education, career guidance for MBA students, & youth activities.

10. Organized Rotaract Service camp ‘ROTARACTION 76’ in 1976, the biggest Rotaract event ever held in our country.

Special Achievements

2008: Invertors for traffic Signals

District Coordinator for the most successful mega project of this year Invertors for traffic signals in Pune, Pimpri & Chinchwad area 30 invertors already installed as of 10th Jun 2008 & another 20 are in pipe line. This is the first mega project of the district in which maximum number of clubs has participated.

Achievement 2009: Swine Flu Prevention Campaign.

Headed Swine Flu Committee of our District; Organized all Rotary clubs together & put them in to action in record time of 8 hrs. Formed 23 committees & coordinated the entire work which was appreciated by the entire Pune City & media.

Family: Happily married with wife: Vandana & blessed with two sons Rohit & Abhijit & Daughter in Law Manasi .Both sons serve in Multinational companies on important Positions. & Daughter in Law is an IT Professional.
