On 20th August 2023, Rotary Club of Chichwad took part in mega tree plantation project. CST Partner Green Solution took part in the same with lead organizer of the mega tree plantation project District 3131. Various club members, District 3131 team, interact clubs and volunteers joined together at Gathagram, Dehugao, Pune. About 500 members joined from 7 clubs and various interact clubs, students and volunteers. 5,000 saplings are planted by all the members and participants present there. DGN Santosh Marathe was the Chief guest for the event along with Dist. Project Chair Rtn. Nikhil Takale, Dist. Environment Director Rtn. Santosh Pardeshi, and CSR partner Mr. Sandeep Sonigra. During the drive from 2nd August to 27th August, about 1,50,000 trees would be planted in the government land area near the river side. Who will be taken care after the plantation drive to see that they all grow to their strength. Trees planted were of local breed and no foreign. According to the nature conservation experts, this will allow the local birds insects and other living organism to flourish and grow.
