| Minutes of Meeting | On Thursday 5th August, 2021 we had an informative talk and presentation by Mr. Nilesh Bajaj founder of Cedrus Wealth Partners on the subject of personal investments and strategies maximise returns and wealth. Mr Bajaj began by stating that financial wellbeing implied control of one’s finances, a capacity to absorb financial shocks, meet one’s goals & commitments and ultimately enjoy financial freedom. He suggested a “cradle to grave” and holistic approach to planning including the elements of projecting, investing, insurance, tax and estate planning. He pointed out that good planning gave peace of mind. Good planning, he went on to explain should be realistic, address the objectives/goals of life, be flexible, ensure adequate returns and enable living a proper lifestyle including indulgence and leaving a debt free legacy. He outlined concepts such as the power of compounding, the time value of money, asset allocation, positive rate of return (net of inflation), risk & reward and Maslow’s theory of needs. He recommended simplicity in investment planning considering these concepts and beginning young - as early as from the time of birth. He also advised that the habit of saving should be instilled in youngsters so that they would be able to manage their finances and lifestyle responsibly. He advised estate planning and highlighted the importance of every person making a valid will. He spoke about the concept of private trusts which may prove useful particularly in case of high-net-worth individuals and cases where heirs were residing abroad. As far as strategies to invest were concerned, he recommended low cost term insurance plans 5% of total investments in gold/gold bonds need based investment in real estate and based on age allocating investments in fixed return -investments such as bonds, deposits & securities and the balance in equity. The speaker then answered questions raised by the audience. Mr. Bajaj was introduced by Rtn. Hemant Shah Past President. Rtn Pundalik Kudva proposed the vote of thanks. |

| Minutes of Meeting | An energetic get together of Rotarians for a morning session wherein we discussed and elaborated on the projects and activities that have been completed and all that in pipeline. President Rathnakar highlighted Andhgaon visit where 16 Rotarians and Anns participated. Flood relief material had been handed over to DGN Manjoo Phadke and it has already reached the needy. PHF Ajaya Khullar, PHF Satish Deshchowgule and PHF Dr. Jayashree Todkar were felicitated with certificates and pins. Prize distribution for online fellowship for Mathematical Tambola was conducted. Winners were presented exotic chocolates as the winnings. We had a very interesting speaker young couple , Dr. Pritesh Shah and Dr. Hiral Shah, accomplished so much already in their lives. Very popular physiotherapists threw light on “ Misconceptions about Physiotherapy “ They introduced us to - Levels, their flagship program. Rotarians were educated about Physiotherapy and how a professional studies and practices to be called a Dr. (PT). Importance of Physiotherapy and Chiropractic is unimaginable. It is an indispensable field of medical science. It not only takes care of injuries but also relieves you of pain and help you in leading a normal life. Dr. Shah highlighted the areas which are a part of Physiotherapy- Dry Needling, Soft tissue release, MFR, Kinesiotaping, Neuro-Dynamic solutions, Post operative rehabilitation to name a few. RCKP wishes all the best to Dr. Pritesh and Dr. Hiral in their future endeavours. |
