| Minutes of Meeting | Event Report: Flag Hoisting Ceremony on Independence Day Date: August 15, 2023 Venue: Rani Laxmi Bai Mullinchi Shala Pirangut, Pune Introduction: The Rotary Club of Pune Camp celebrated the 76th Independence Day of India with a flag hoisting ceremony held at Rani Laxmi Bai Mullinchi Shala Pirangut. The event aimed to instill a sense of patriotism and inspire young minds, especially the students of the school, to contribute positively to the nation. Event Highlights: The event commenced at 7:30 AM with the hoisting of the Indian national flag by Rtn Col Anil Shukla, a distinguished member of the Rotary Club and Chief Guest for the occasion. Along with Rtn Col R P Pande as a special guest. The flag fluttered proudly against the backdrop of the school's picturesque campus. The ceremony was attended by students, parents, faculty members, Rotary Club members, and local dignitaries. Chief Guest's Address: Rtn Col Anil Shukla delivered an impactful address emphasizing the significance of Independence Day and the role of young individuals in shaping the nation's future. He shared inspiring stories of sacrifice and bravery by freedom fighters who fought for the nation's independence. Rtn Col Shukla particularly focused on empowering girls and encouraged them to consider careers in the defense forces. He highlighted the importance of breaking gender stereotypes and pursuing one's passions without limitations. School Background: Rani Laxmi Bai Mullinchi Shala Pirangut is a renowned girls' residential school that provides military training alongside traditional education. The school aims to cultivate discipline, leadership, and self-confidence among its students, empowering them to become strong and responsible citizens of the country.
