“TEJOPATH”-Solar street lights project in association with Rotary Club of Goregaon and Rotary Club of Pune NIBM and Ravindra Kandpile, Panvel. (Solar street light project) Sonya wadi is a small settlement about one and a half km from Goregaon village. About a thousand people live there. their chief Seasonal crops and daily wages are the source of income. are About 25 electric poles have been erected along the road leading to Sonya Wadi But the local administrative body cannot afford to pay the electricity bill for those street lights. So no lights are installed on the pole. After 7 pm the road becomes deserted and it becomes really scary and difficult for the residents to travel especially at night, on rainy days and for emergency patients. Rotary Club of Goregaon has installed 25 solar street lamps and the long-standing problem of the villagers has really been solved. The total cost of the project is Rs. 1,25,000/-
